Karelian Turkki family of Mäntyharju, which has been examined up to the beginning of the 15th Century. The original home of the Mäntyharju family might have been located in the culturally Karelian region of Mäntyharju Parish, which was established in 1595 on the territories of three tribes (Tavastia, Savonia, Karelia).
